Hon'ble Mr. Justice Vinod Goel

Former Judge, High Court of Delhi
Profile

Justice Vinod Goel was born on 7 August 1957 in Village Hassanpur, Haryana. After completing his Bachelor of Commerce from Rohtak, he obtained his Law Degree from Punjab University, Chandigarh in 1980.

Enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana on 30 July 1982, he commenced legal practice before the District Courts at Faridabad and the Sub-Divisional Courts at Palwal. His practice encompassed civil and criminal litigation, labour law, service law, election petitions, claim petitions, revenue matters and consolidation proceedings.

Justice Goel joined the Delhi Higher Judicial Service on 31 December 1997 and served in several important judicial capacities, including Civil Courts, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal and CBI Courts. He also served as Judge In-Charge of the Mediation Cell, East District, Karkardooma Courts from 15 December 2009 to 31 July 2012.

Thereafter, he served as District & Sessions Judge, Shahdara and subsequently as Registrar General of the High Court of Delhi. He was elevated as a Judge of the High Court of Delhi on 8 November 2016.

Hon'ble Mr. Justice Brijesh Sethi

Former Judge, High Court of Delhi
Profile

Justice Brijesh Sethi was born in Delhi. He completed his schooling from St. Xavier's, Kanpur, graduated from Christ Church College, Kanpur and completed his law degree from the University of Delhi in 1982.

He joined the Delhi Judicial Service on 4 November 1986 and was promoted to the Delhi Higher Judicial Service in 2000. During his distinguished career, he served in various capacities, including Civil and Criminal Courts, Labour Court, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Special Judge (CBI), Member Secretary of the Delhi State Legal Services Authority, Registrar of the Arbitration Centre, District & Sessions Judge of South and South-East Districts, District & Sessions Judge of South-West District, Principal Judge of Family Courts, and Principal Secretary, Law, Justice & Legal Affairs, Government of NCT of Delhi.

A trained mediator and mediation trainer, Justice Sethi worked as Judge In-Charge, Mediation and successfully mediated 3,631 cases with a 95% success rate. He was elevated as a Permanent Judge of the High Court of Delhi on 27 May 2019.

Hon'ble Ms. Justice Sangita Dhingra Sehgal

Former Judge, High Court of Delhi

Justice Sangita Dhingra Sehgal was born on 20 June 1958 at Chandigarh. She completed her schooling and graduation in Chandigarh and obtained her law degree from the University of Delhi in 1981.

She joined the Delhi Judicial Service on 26 July 1985 and rose through the judicial hierarchy with distinction. She served as Additional Sessions Judge from 2000 to 2003 and thereafter as Secretary of the Press Council of India from 2003 to 2004.

Justice Sehgal subsequently served as Registrar (Vigilance) and Registrar General of the High Court of Delhi from April 2013 to December 2014. She was elevated as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Delhi on 15 December 2014 and became a Permanent Judge on 2 June 2016.

She resigned as a Judge of the High Court on 21 May 2020, effective from 30 May 2020, pursuant to her appointment as President of the Delhi State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
